Fallout 76: The Ghoul Playable Class Arrives with Ghoul Within
Initially announced in June 2024 with the arrival of the Skyline Valley expansion, the Bethesda team has finally revealed new news. Announcing on March 18, 2025, the release of the new update, Ghoul Within. Which finally introduces the playable class: Ghoul.
Accompanying this is a fun trailer showing all the perks of the Ghoul. From radiation resistance, new skills, and even some of the disadvantages of the class. With unique features that will bring a new approach to gameplay.

Fallout 76: Gameplay Updates Like Ghoul and New Additions
Ghoul Within certainly changes the Fallout 76 experience. Introducing a new playable class with numerous perks, as well as additions from the new update, including:
- Feral Meter and Glow: The Feral Meter replaces Hunger and Thirst, where a high Feral state grants a bonus to melee combat at the cost of Charisma and Accuracy with weapons. Glow represents radiation damage, with access to certain abilities at certain levels.
- Ghoul Perks: A total of 30 new Perk Cards dedicated to using Feral Meter and Glow for devastating new abilities.
- Quest to Become a Ghoul: With the dedicated quest “Leap of Faith,” available at level 50, we can become a Ghoul. It’s a non-repeatable quest, but we can return to being human with the Ghoul Re-transformation option available with Atoms.
But let’s not forget the new additions with the latest Patch, including various weapon, armor, and perk balance changes. In addition to the new Season 20 Glow of the Ghoul with tons of new Seasonal content. Not to mention the Spring-themed event, The Big Bloom, starting on April 29, 2025.
