Epic Games has announced that starting in April 2025, a new policy on dealing with cheaters in Fortnite will be implemented. A first-time rule violation will result in a one-year matchmaking ban. If it happens again after a year, the ban will be permanent. Severe offenses, such as selling cheats or committing serious rule violations, will still lead to a lifetime ban.

I think they should not give back their accounts. They can just go and create a new one if they want, and in case they were dumb enough to cheat with an account they have spent a bunch of money on skins, etc. already that's on them. I think less cheater will feel the consequences of their actions with this move.
