Yesterday, a new Anti-Cheat Update for Fortnite was released. However, this update has left many players feeling uneasy and uncertain. Find out why right here.

The popular and large battle royale game Fortnite has sparked divided opinions due to the new Anti-Cheat Update. The main issue is the unbanning of former Fortnite cheaters. Additionally, Epic Games has taken legal action against individuals who have stolen and resold Fortnite accounts. In line with this topic, the new Lawless Season has also begun. You can find out everything about it here.
Fortnite’s New Anti-Cheat Policy: What Has Changed?
Epic Games has announced that starting in April 2025, a new policy on dealing with cheaters in Fortnite will be implemented. A first-time rule violation will result in a one-year matchmaking ban. If it happens again after a year, the ban will be permanent. Severe offenses, such as selling cheats or committing serious rule violations, will still lead to a lifetime ban.
How is the Community Reacting?
The community’s opinion on this topic is highly divided. Some believe that many players may regret their actions and try to improve. Especially younger players often don’t think things through, just wanting to win, which leads them to download cheats. People support giving these players a second chance. However, not everyone learns from their mistakes.

Many are now worried about the cheaters who will soon have the chance to play again. Even accounts that were banned before this new rule will be unbanned if they have been banned for over a year. Of course, not everyone will change their ways, and this could lead to an initial increase in Fortnite cheaters. What do you think – should cheaters be given a second chance or remain permanently banned? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.

¿Should Former Cheaters Get a Second Chance?: NO, permabanned.
I think they should not give back their accounts. They can just go and create a new one if they want, and in case they were dumb enough to cheat with an account they have spent a bunch of money on skins, etc. already that's on them. I think less cheater will feel the consequences of their actions with this move.
