Fortnite Arcane Skins Won’t Be Returning Anytime Soon Says Riot Co-Founder
Riot co-founder Marc Merrill has told fans that the Jinx and Vi Fortnite skins that launched on Epic Games’ battle royale alongside the release of the League of Legends Netflix show Arcane won’t return anytime soon.
Marc Merrill, the co-founder of Riot, has told fans that the Arcane Jinx and Vi skins will not return to Epic Games’ battle royale Fortnite for the “foreseeable future.”
Merrill was responding to fans on social media after calls for the skins to return gained traction, but Riot boss says they will let everyone know “if anything changes in the future.”
Why Aren’t the Arcane Skins Coming Back?
Speaking on X, Merril addressed calls for the Jinx and Vi skins from Arcane to once again return to Fortnite, saying that although Riot and Epic have had “a lot of conversations,” they haven’t been able to find the right fit to bring them back.
Merrill didn’t rule them out returning completely, and promises fans that if things do change, they will let everyone know “ASAP!”

What Were the Arcane Skins in Fortnite?n
After its launch on Netflix in 2021, Arcane came an immediate hit with League of Legends fans, and the show’s two main characters, Vi and Jinx got skins in Fortnite, making the show’s first season extra special.
Unfortunately, both skins were only available for a short time as many crossovers are, with Jinx added to Fortnite as part of Chapter 2 Season 8 and Vi added in Chapter 3 Season 1, with both available to buy for 1,500 V-Bucks. Both skins were removed from the in-game item shop after a couple of weeks.
Will They Return in the Future?n
While Merrill says the skins are not returning soon, he hasn’t ruled it out completely, suggesting both Vi and Jinx may come back to Fortnite in future updates.
Arcane Season 2 saw the show conclude, but the League of Legends universe is only beginning, which could mean skins from future films and TV shows down the line for Fortnite. Unfortunately, only time will tell and we have to wait and see.
