Forever Skies: Release Date Announcement of Version 1.0
After deciding to extend Early Access into 2024, the Far From Home team finally announces the release date of Forever Skies. Their post-apocalyptic and futuristic first-person survival game, where we will explore a devastated Earth. On March 19, 2025, they announced the official release date for version 1.0, which will debut on April 14, 2025. Available on both Steam and PS5.
Accompanied by a trailer that showcases the game. A co-op adventure for up to 4 players where we must find the cure for the virus that devastated the planet, aboard our flying base. Exploring the ruins of our civilization, gathering resources, upgrading our survival abilities, and searching for a cure.

Forever Skies: The Team, Development, and Latest News
After 4 years of development, the team is finally ready for the launch of version 1.0 of Forever Skies. A game first announced on January 11, 2022, and debuted in Early Access on June 22, 2023. Developed by the Polish team at Far From Home Studio, founded in 2020 by industry veterans behind League of Legends, Dying Light, Divinity Original Sin, and many others.
With Early Access ending in 2024 but extended further. During this period, there have been 34 updates, including fixes and major updates. Among them, the highly anticipated co-op mode debuted on December 9, 2024. Along with the release date announcement, the team also shares the Roadmap for Forever Skies for 2025 on Steam. Promising us with version 1.0:
- New Biomes: With the addition of Silent City and Overgrown Ruins, bringing new zones and more fitting progress for the experience.
- Locations: Many new locations within the two biomes, such as The Workshop and Airships. These hide valuable resources, upgrades, and lore.
- Points of Interest: With the rework of Data Cards, we will have new points of interest to interact with and collect Data Cards. These are needed to unlock parts and blueprints, as well as the mysterious Murals and the eerie Colossal Lifeforms.
