A new feature called Stories has been added to FIFA 18. Stories lets players play as one of the football icons in three different stages of their careers. In Stories, players receive three Ultimate Team cards which represent one stage of the Icon’s career. One example is Ronaldinho who has one card for his career in 2002 when he played for Paris St. Germain, another in 2004 when he bagged World Player of the Year when he played for Barcelona, and another in 2010 when he played for AC Milan.
Two of the three cards can be obtained through packs which you can get through squad building challenges. Prime Icons, though, will only be available during Throwback Thursdays.
You can also watch the gameplay featured during the livestream on Twitch. You can watch it starting at 39:00

Each time you participate in Squad Battles, you’ll get to earn rewards and, if lucky enough, move up in leaderboards.FIFA 18 will be available starting 29 September 2017 on PC via Origin, Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One.
