Far Cry 5’s New Trailer Offers ‘The Father’ Edition TV Shopping Style
Ubisoft has recently released a new trailer for Far Cry 5 shot entirely like a TV Shopping segment. The trailer entices everyone to get a hold of “The Father Edition” of the game that includes a 12-inch figurine of the game’s main antagonist, Joseph Seed, or simply “The Father”.

The video is obviously meant as a humorous way of promoting the limited release, with the hosts sharing a few awkward moments, the male host erroneously placing Tokyo in China, and the inclusion of a blonde cowgirl beer commercial. It also pokes fun at the game’s religious cult theme by insinuating that the figurine has “powers of salvation”. You can watch the full trailer below:
“The Father Edition” will include the base game, the Deluxe Pack, a physical world map, the game’s official soundtrack, the Steelbook, and “The Father” figurine. The Deluxe Pack contains in-game goodies such as additional stories, outfits, weapons and consumable. “The Father Edition” does not include the game’s season pass.
Right now, Ubisoft’s online store for Europe lists this edition as sold out and there is no news on whether new stocks will be made available in the future.
Far Cry 5 will be coming to PC, Xbox One and PS4 on 27 March.
