What to Expect from Nightingale

Nightingale is touted as being the next big thing to happen to the open-world survival crafting genre, and its releasing into Early Access on February 20.

Nightingale is described as “a PvE open-world survival crafting game played solo or cooperatively with friends.” Playing as a Realmwalker, you’ll embark on a magical journey that will take you through the lands of Fae, through forests, swamps, and deserts, where you’ll discover mysterious architecture, ancient ruins, and what’s left of previous Realmwalker expeditions.

It has everything you’d expect from the genre. It has open-world exploration, crafting, resource management, fast-paced combat, online co-op, and base building. But one feature that sets Nightingale apart is the ability to travel through portals to reach other realms where you’ll find even more unique biomes, colossal apex creatures, and other communities trying to survive.

Putting another twist on these realms, Nightingale is procedurally generated, and you can affect what kind of realm you portal to by collecting Realm Cards, which will allow you to reshape the next realm, changing its design, resources, and environment.

Developer Inflexion Games has created a unique world which is influenced by British gaslamp fantasy which takes the best of other games in the genre like The Forest, Valheim, Palworld, No Man’s Sky, and Rust to create something quite magical that offers infinite replayability.

How to Play Nightingale

The devs have done really well to set Nightingale apart from other games in the genre, which is impressive considering the dozens we get every year. And the best part is that we only have to wait until February 20 to play it, which is when Nightingale launches into Early Access on Steam and Epic Games.
