Evil Dead: The Game released on Friday the 13th (May 13th), and while most people deem this day unlucky, it’s the total opposite for the game.

The Embracer Group proudly announced that Evil Dead: The Game has sold “more than 500,000 units in the first 5 days after its release.” This figure represents combined sales numbers across all its platforms.

Saber Interactive’s Matt Karch revealed during his presentation at Embracer Group’s Full Year Financial Report that this milestone is a representation of the company’s success. This is the first game that Saber both developed and published, so it’s really something to be proud of.

According to Karch, Evil Dead: The Game has surpassed World War Z in terms of sales and Metacritic scores, and this will only be the start of better days ahead as Evil Dead will “continue to kick butt” as Saber continues supporting it.

“I will modestly say that we will set the heat with this game, it is for everyone [в Embracer Group] will bring in a lot of money and be the first in a new Saber franchise,” Karch said.
