Just a few days ago, the Naughty Dog team decided to release update 1.1.0 for The Last of Us Part II Remastered, recently launched exclusively for PS5 with some improvements and new content for Sony’s home console.
The new update is aimed not only at improving and fixing some gameplay errors but also adds some small, entirely free bonuses. Definitely something that will please the owners of the title on PS5.
The Last of Us Part II Remastered is, as the name suggests, the remastered version for PS5 of The Last of Us Part II, the direct sequel to Naughty Dog’s title initially released in 2013 and later arrived on PS4 with an enhanced version and finally remastered.
Compared to the PS4 version, the PS5 version not only adds some graphical tweaks and improvements to a title that pushed the graphical capabilities to the limit on PS4, but now offers the benefit of easily achievable 60fps at resolutions up to 4K on PS5. Additionally, there’s the No Return Mode with a leaderboard, providing a gameplay mode where you must survive as long as possible against waves of infected and human enemies and scripted events with randomized sessions each time.

We also have a list of improvements and fixes not only for the base game but especially for the new No Return mode, exclusive to the Remastered version on PS5. Significant fixes include issues where the mode had a leaderboard, and some bugs allowed players, for example, to exit the game after a defeat without penalties, or certain areas were unreachable by infected. Others prevented players from recording specific kills for challenges or put them at a significant disadvantage, making it impossible to complete the level.
