Xbox Wireless Headset Refresh Coming in October

New information is coming regarding a refresh of the Xbox Wireless Headset. This new version is expected to arrive in October 2024.

Xbox Wireless Headset 2024 – News, Release Date, and Price

The news of a new version of the Xbox Wireless Headset comes from Dealabs. The author “billbil-kun” mentions a supposed 2024 version of the famous headsets, which were first released in March 2021 at a price of 99.99€. In September, a wired version followed at 59.99€.

However, the wireless version sold out quickly and is currently out of stock at official retailers. According to the author, it seems that Xbox intends to launch a 2024 version, specifically on 22 October 2024 for the European market and on 5 November 2024 for the North American one. However, the price will be increased to €109.99 / GBP99.99 / USD109.99, compared to the 2021 version shown in the video.

New Xbox Wireless Headset – New Specifications Coming?

“billbil-kun” also confirms that the launch colors will be limited to classic black. This news is certainly disappointing, especially with the upcoming launch of the white Xbox Series X Digital Edition. However, it is still possible to purchase the Limited Edition of Starfield, which is white with red padding, for an extra cost.

In terms of packaging, we can expect a few small differences, while we still know nothing about the actual specifications. Many hope for some small improvements given the increased price of 10€/£/$. However, it is highly likely that we will only see an update to a more recent Bluetooth standard, moving from Bluetooth 4.2 of the 2021 version to possibly Bluetooth 5.2 or 5.3. We will have to wait for the official announcement soon.
