Venus Vacation PRISM is the new game in the Dead Or Alive Xtreme spinoff series. The game is arriving on March 6, 2025 for PS4, PS5, and PC, bringing DOA Xtreme into the dating sim world for the first time. Players can enjoy a romantic adventure on Venus Island with one of the 6 characters available at launch.

Powered by a new graphics engine, with numerous new animations and highly detailed models of Dead Or Alive characters. For a spinoff series  that has gradually built a dedicated fanbase over time.

Venus Vacation PRISM – DEAD OR ALIVE Xtreme was first announced at the Tokyo Game Show 2024, revealing the new DOA series spinoff and a fresh addition to the Xtreme series. The game offers a romantic adventure dating sim style with several characters from the series.

The first trailer featured one of the available characters, Misaki. On November 2, 2024, Koei Tecmo released a new trailer showcasing the full cast of 6 characters in this DOA universe dating sim.

The new trailer also reveals the cast of 6 characters for Venus Vacation PRISM – DEAD OR ALIVE Xtreme, which includes:

  • Misaki: Part-timer, debuted in Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation (2017)
  • Honoka: Student, debuted in Dead or Alive 5 Last Round
  • Tamaki: Fashion designer, debuted in Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation (2017)
  • Fiona: Princess, debuted in Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation (2017)
  • Nanami: Student, debuted in Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation (2021-22)
  • Elise: Manager, debuted in Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation (2017)

The cast primarily comes from DOA Xtreme Venus Vacation, the F2P title in the DOA Xtreme series. Pre-orders will receive the Plumeria Ornament Set (x6) and Cheongsams for the 6 main characters as an Early Purchase Bonus. Collaboration with Yom (よむ) offers a clothing set, animated episodes, and extras in Photo Mode for the Deluxe Edition.

DEAD OR ALIVE Xtreme – New Features in Venus Vacation PRISM

Venus Vacation PRISM introduces significant changes compared to previous Xtreme games, which typically focused on summer-themed mini-games on New Zack Island. Although previous titles included Dating Sim elements, Venus Vacation PRISM emphasizes these features and shifts from the Soft Engine to the Katana Engine.

The new engine brings enhanced animations and visual improvements to the series. With PRISM, players can enjoy a romantic adventure with their chosen character, make choices that prompt different reactions, and capture memories using the Photo Mode. And additional popular characters like Kasumi and Marie Rose are likely to be added as future DLC.

Venus Vacation PRISM – DOA Xtreme: Regional Lock? Here’s How to Bypass It

It seems Koei Tecmo is releasing this title exclusively for the Japanese and Asian markets, as was the case with Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation. However, physical and digital versions for PS4 and PS5 are compatible worldwide, provided players use a correct regional account.

The game also offers English language support right out of the box. Regional PlayStation Gift Cards can be used for future content purchases without issues. As for the Steam version, we’ll have to wait until the release date to confirm accessibility outside specific regions, with the official launch set for March 6, 2025.
