Test New Overwatch 2 Hero Juno This Weekend

With the latest news, the Blizzard team announces the arrival of a new Hero for Overwatch. A rumor that had been circulating for about a month, which on 18 July was officially announced with a trailer dedicated to the new Hero: Juno. With some information already available on her kit and more official information soon to come. In the meantime, the Overwatch team is offering a trial period for Juno.


Overwatch 2: Juno – Learn How to Play the New Hero

With some rumors and leaks circulating about a “Space Ranger” coming to Overwatch 2, the rumors were finally confirmed with the official announcement of the new heroine Juno. A new Support character coming to Blizzard’s popular hero shooter as an energetic Space Ranger arriving in the futuristic Earth of Blizzard’s hero shooter game.

With an official trailer showing Juno in action with her game kit, which players will be able to try out over the weekend. In fact, Juno will be available from 19 to 21 July with a Test Play on all platforms. This will be a true “hero trial,” where Juno will be available in all game modes except Competitive Mode. And finally, the team also announces the arrival of Season 12 of Overwatch 2 in August 2024, during which Juno is expected to be fully released.

The Overwatch team has not yet released the official information on Juno’s kit, the new heroine of OW 2, but thanks to the trailer showcase we not only have the name of her kit but also an idea of what type of support the new Space Ranger will play.

Weapons and Ultimate

  • Mediblaster – Primary fire shoots laser shots that heal allies and damage enemies.
  • Pulsar Torpedoes – Allows you to lock onto the enemy with secondary fire and shoot targeting missiles with primary fire. Heals allies over time and damages enemies.
  • Orbital Ray – Ultimate that calls a ray from space, healing allies and buffing their damage.

Abilities

  • Glide Boost: Flies horizontally for increased movement speed.
  • Hyper Ring: Creates a ring that boosts the movement speed of allies who pass through it.
  • Martian Overboots (Passive): Allows double jump in the air and flight by holding down the jump button longer.

A decidedly interesting kit that finally brings a new Support to the game, with a rather fast gameplay capable not only of healing allies but also boosting their speed and increasing their damage with the Ultimate. But we will have to wait for Blizzard’s official announcement of the game kit, as well as a breakdown from seasoned Overwatch 2 players to fully understand how Juno kit really works and leverage her abilities. That said, players will be able to try Juno for free this weekend until 21st July 2024, while reminding that Overwatch 2 is free-to-play!
