Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon is the dark fantasy open-world RPG developed by the Polish team Questline. The game is published by Awaken Realms, based on the Tainted Grail IP, a publisher particularly active in the tabletop game world. The Fall of Avalon offers a true open-world RPG experience.

After over 3 years of development, the Questline and Awaken Realms team brings big news about Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon. Announcing the exit from Early Access for the dark fantasy open-world RPG. With the version 1.0 launch set for:
- 23 May 2025 at 8:00 AM PDT / 11:00 AM EDT / 5:00 PM CEST
The official launch also marks the arrival of the game on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. A launch the team celebrates with the Launch Trailer. Taking us into the dark fantasy world of Tainted Grail. With an adventure and story that embodies the RPG aspect of the tabletop game, presenting it as a first-person action open world.
Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon – What’s New in Version 1.0
The Fall of Avalon is certainly Awaken Realms’ biggest project. With over 3 years of development alongside the Questline team. Creating an open-world RPG that excited many during Early Access. Version 1.0 brings lots of new features, including:
- Third-Person Option: With the addition of a third-person view alongside the first-person mode.
- Complete Game: With 3 explorable regions: Misty Horns, Cuanacht, and Forlorn Swords.
- Story and Gameplay: Offering 50-70 hours of gameplay content, featuring over 200 quests and NPCs. With a story full of choices leading to 4 different endings.
- Weapons, Magic, and Enemies: Featuring over 400 weapons, including shields. More than 55 spells and 14+ Soul Cubes. Facing a variety of 100+ enemies with variants, and over 75 dungeons to explore.
The game certainly reminds of The Elder Scrolls series, particularly Skyrim, but with its own unique twist thanks to the established Tainted Grail universe. The game won’t see any price increases with the arrival of version 1.0. You can also try the demo available on the official Steam page.
