SpellRogue 1.0 Out Now – Includes New Dice Slinger, Features, and Final Chapter
Tactical turn-based roguelike SpellRogue has finally left Early Access, with 1.0 adding a fourth Dice Slinger, all-new features, and a final chapter.
SpellRogue has officially launched its 1.0 version, wrapping up Early Access with a bang—adding a new Dice Slinger, fresh gameplay mechanics, and the climactic final chapter.
After months in Early Access, developer Guidelight Games has finally released the game’s largest update yet. Version 1.0 introduces new challenges, a brand-new intro animation, and tons of new content and bug fixes. The game is also now Steam Deck verified.
Meet the New Dice Slinger
Sefyra the Windcaller is the fourth playable Dice Slinger in SpellRogue 1.0. Described by Guidelight Games as the “most intricate” and “complex,” Sefyra is a highly rewarding character that focuses on air spells while utilizing wind, lightning, and aura spells.
Due to Sefyra’s shifting spell placements, replicating Dice, and synergy-focused attacks, players will need to think more about timings and tactics.
What’s New in Version 1.0?
Along with the new Dice Slinger, SpellRogue 1.0 introduces the all new daily challenges mode that adds “game-warping modifiers” and is unlockable once all characters are level 3. The game now also has a final chapter with a “true ending,” some enemy redesigns, and new abilities to discover.
That’s not all! There is tons of new content with 1.0, with all-new game mechanics, upgraded translations, additional spells, and UI improvements. Below is the overview of changes given by the devs in the latest Steam blog:
