Resident Evil 3 is a third-person survival horror video game and the remake of the 1999 game Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. It follows the story of Jill Valentine, a former S.T.A.R.S. member, as she tries to escape the zombie-infested Raccoon City while being pursued by the relentless bioweapon Nemesis.

The game features over-the-shoulder aiming and a dodge mechanic, making it more action-oriented than the original game. You have more freedom of movement and combat feels more fluid and responsive. However, resource management and puzzle-solving remain crucial elements, retaining the core survival horror experience.

Resident Evil 3 also includes an optional multiplayer mode called Resident Evil Resistance which is a 4v1 asymmetrical multiplayer game. It was said that the Resistance was bundled with RE3 because developers felt that it lacked content especially compared to the Resident Evil 2 remake.

Resident Evil 3 Remake released with updated graphics and visuals, and additional content on April 3, 2020. It is now available to play PC, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
