With the start of the new year, the final content of the Khaos Reigns Expansion for Mortal Kombat 1 arrives, with the legendary Conan the Barbarian joining the fighters!

Mortal Kombat 1 (MK 1) is the latest chapter of the iconic fighting series now owned by Warner Bros. With MK1 serving as a new soft reboot of the series, continuing from the ending of Mortal Kombat 11. Initially released on November 19, 2023, MK1 has proven to be a solid chapter for the series, also thanks to numerous guest characters and major returns.

Among which, the recent Khaos Reigns Expansion (Kombat Pack 2) has brought Cyrax and Sektor (MK3), Noob Saibot (MK2), and Ghostface (Scream). An expansion that, with the start of 2025, will bring the legendary Conan the Barbarian this January, followed by the famous T-1000 from Terminator 2: Doomsday.

Mortal Kombat 1: Conan The Barbarian is Coming

With the announcement on January 16, 2025, the NetherRealm Studios team finally informs us of the arrival of the new Guest Character in Mortal Kombat 1. Bringing none other than the mighty Cimmerian warrior born from the pen of Robert Ervin Howard.

More specifically, we’re talking about his most renowned version based on the 1982 movie. Exactly the same one portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger. Featuring a trailer where we can admire the fearless warrior armed with his iconic Atlantean Sword. Between grabs, combos, and even funny one-liners in true Arnie style.

Mortal Kombat 1: When Conan the Barbarian Will Be Available and How to Save

Conan The Barbarian will be available on Mortal Kombat 1 starting January 21, 2025. Available as part of the Khaos Reigns expansion. It can be purchased as part of the Expansion pass. Enjoying the other DLC characters Cyrax and Sektor, Noob Saibot, and Ghostface (with the T-1000 coming in the future). It can also be bought as a standalone DLC.

Certainly not Arnold’s first official appearance in MK, having appeared as the T-800 in MK11. But with a fantastic addition in Conan the Barbarian. This DLC will be accompanied by the final addition of Kombat Pack 2, which will bring the fearsome T-1000, with the date to be confirmed.
