Here are the Top Selling Games of January 2018 in the US
The NPD Group has released its report for January 2018 and we now get to see how the gaming industry did in the US for the first month of the year. Everything seems to be on the positive side as all statistics have risen from last year’s numbers, from console sales to top selling games.
Video game sales reached $517 million, a significant jump of 51% from Januaray 2017. Console unit sales was at an impressive $278 million last month, topping last year by a whopping 119%. And although the NPD Group refused to specify the winning console, sales were tight between the PS4, Xbox One and Switch, with the top seller beating whichever’s in bottom place by just a measly 3%. To top it all off, total video game spending in the US closed at $1.1 billion, improving from last year by a stunning 59%.
