After the reveal of Heihachi Mishima’s return to Tekken 8 in July, he is finally available. The third character of Tekken 8’s Character Year 1 Pass, marking the return of the iconic and arrogant King of the Iron Fist.

Heihachi Mishima – The third character of the Character Year 1 Pass

Starting from 3rd October 2024, we see the return of Heihachi Mishima. An iconic Tekken character, central or involved in most of the storyline’s conflicts. The Mishima Zaibatsu tycoon comes as the third DLC in the first Character Pass, following Lidia Sobieska and Eddy Gordo.

This DLC also incorporates free content from Tekken 8 version 1.08, like the addition of Unforgotten Echoes, a parallel story mode revolving around Heihachi, Lidia, and Eddy. This content will be available for free even to those who do not own the DLC.

From the final showdown between Heihachi Mishima and his son Kazuya in Tekken 7, Kazuya emerged victorious and, as per “tradition,” threw his father into a volcano. And as usual, the Mishima family always manages to survive. With Unforgotten Echoes, we’ll explore what happened to Heihachi.

Exploring the return of the King of the Iron Fist, which expands the roster to 35 characters. With a special focus on Reina, somehow connected to Heihachi as revealed in her own story. Heihachi Mishima will be available as a standalone DLC or as part of the Character Year 1 Pass, already included in the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions.

Tekken 8 – What 2024 and the Character Year 1 Pass have in store

Tekken 8 is the latest installment in the famous fighting series, the Iron Fist Tournament. A beloved Namco series that offers many characters and a conflict centered around the Mishima family and the Kazama clan. Tekken 8 adopts Unreal Engine 5, but does not overdo the graphics, keeping it accessible to everyone.

Heihachi Mishima is the new and third character of the Character Year 1 Pass, with a fourth and final character arriving in the Winter season. Bandai Namco will soon reveal this character, most likely along with the 2025 roadmap for Tekken 8.
