Genki Unveils New Accessories Post-Nintendo Switch 2 Reveal
Nintendo Switch 2 has finally been officially revealed by Nintendo, with the new generation of consoles that many have been eagerly waiting for. Even accessory maker Genki wanted to unveil new accessories just hours after Nintendo!

Today, April 3, 2025, marks the official announcement of the Nintendo Switch 2, and the Genki team is back at it again. Announcing their Genki Direct, a quick “showcase” just an hour after Nintendo’s Direct. Revealing the accessories coming from the company for the Nintendo Switch 2.
They even had a mock-up of the console to show off their accessories. A mock-up that immediately caught the attention of Nintendo, who even sent their lawyers to the booth. But since no NDA was signed, it seems Genki wasn’t affected in any way.
Genki Indirect: The Nintendo Switch 2 Accessories Direct
With the official announcement of the Nintendo Switch 2, the Genki team is back at it again. Announcing their Genki Indirect, a quick “showcase” of just one minute, hours after Nintendo’s Direct. Revealing the accessories coming from the company for the Nintendo Switch 2.
These accessories, as we know, have been in development for some time, with a mock-up even presented at CES 2025. With a lineup of solutions that are certainly interesting and useful for those intending to pick up Switch 2. All presented in a compact video of just over a minute but very clear and simple.
Switch 2 – The Green Light for Accessories Ahead of the Launch
Genki’s accessory lineup is definitely very interesting. Among the offerings, we have typical accessories such as a travel bag, cartridge holder, Joy-Con charging dock, and a protective glass. But also two protective cases for the console, namely:
- Genki Glitch 2: A sturdy case with modular grips for all tastes. Not only compatible with the kickstand but also with detachable protections for the Joy-Con and compatible with the official stand. Along with an Energy Pack with magnetic mounting to charge the Switch 2 through the top port.
- ForceField 2: A more compact case compatible with the travel bag (sleeper Case). Offering good protection but with a minimalist design. With a zipper system to access the Joy-Con, also hiding a useful compartment for a cartridge on each side.
These are just Genki’s offerings, and soon we will see a boom of accessories for Switch 2 from other manufacturers. Although, this doesn’t help the already criticized price of the Switch 2. With at least $50 /€ added to the $449.99 / 469.99€ launch price of the base version. Or $499.99 and 509.99€ for the Bundle with Mario Kart World.

In Conclusion
A clean and straightforward Genki “Indirect” from Genki, which gives the green light for pre-orders of their accessories. With interesting prices for some offerings, but with a Switch 2 that, beyond the criticized price, also has a pre-order issue. Requiring a Nintendo Switch Online subscription to even pre-order it.
