The night opening of Gamescom 2023 was fully packed with content, and the show started with none other than Starfield. From the piano performance of the game composer Inon Zur, to the stunning 2 minutes live action short. Concluding with the game’s director and executive producer Todd Howard talking about the game. Followed by reveals, trailers and big updates for some for the most anticipated games of this year and the next. Of which these are the 8 best among them.
Starfield
Bethesda’s biggest and most ambitious project yet, is coming soon on September 6th 2023. A futuristic space adventure, where our options seem vastless. With different types of game style, approach to roleplaying, as well as fun stories and characters to interact with. Not to mention, a seemingly robust crafting system to build the spaceship of our dream and more! Definitely one of the most anticipated titles of this year.

Little Nightmares III
Supermassive Games studio takes over the series to deliver the third entry, coming after a little over 2 years. In this new entry of this dark platform-puzzle adventure, we’ll play as Low and Alone. As we’ll start from the desert of the city Necropolis, we’ll use their tools, a bow and a wrench, to navigate the environment. And not only progress further across dangerous areas, but also discover the truth behind what happened to Necropolis inhabitants.
Release date has been announced for 2024, likely by spring.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage
Ubisoft’s most beloved series embrace the series origin, by featuring the parkouring, stealth and assassination. Set in the majestic Baghdad of the 800s, we’ll play as Basim, a petty thief, who stumbles upon members of the Occults, and embraces the Creed. Shaping his life forever. Growing from a novice assassin, to becoming a Master of the arts. While exploring the lively city, both horizontally and vertically, in all its districts.
The game is set to release on October 5th of this year.
Crimson Desert
Announced back in 2020, the South Korean team of Pearl Abyss behind Black Desert, has released a gameplay trailer for the show. The title is a single player open world RPG in a medieval fantasy setting. The trailer shows a very dynamic approach to fighting, being able to fight in wars as well as fight magical creatures. We’ll be able to quest, complete missions and progress further in the story, as well as do fun side activities like fishing or even crossing the skies via hot-air balloon!
The initial release date has been postponed from Fall 2023, to early 2024.
Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty
CD Project Red’s upcoming DLC to complete and expand the base Cyberpunk 2077 experience. In this brand new adventure, we’ll be able to explore the new area of Dog Town. A lawless under the rule of the crime lord Kurt Hansen. We decide to visit the town in search of a cure offered by the mysterious Songbird. In exchange we’ll have to save the NUSA president who crashed in the city. and being in danger due to a huge bounty on her head. With new endings to unlock, new characters to interact, a new area to explore.
The DLC will soon be available on September 26th 2023
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3
The third entry of the rebooted Modern Warfare series, developed by Activision’s team of Sledgehammer. Taking place right after the events of the previous title, we’ll see the main villain of the game in Vladimir Makarov. Thus the Task Force 141 return, led by the legendary Captain Price along with fan favorites Soap, Ghost and Gaz along with the help of other recurring characters.
The new entry is set to release this Fall, on November 10th.
Payday 3
Starbreeze Studios’ Payday 3 is just around the corner and the team dropped an action packed trailer, showcasing a heist initial stealth approach and finishing in pure chaos to the end. With a solid open test feedback, an overhaul to the previous entry formula and new QoL improvements, Payday 3 has caught the attention of the fans.
Waiting for its release on September 21th.
Lords of the Fallen
Developed by Hexworks, this title is another take with a different developer of the same game released in 2014. While the original was pretty much a failure, this new reimagination is boasting a lot of new improvements. Sharing the same universe, our character, a member of the Dark Crusade, is on a mission to prevent the return of the god Adyr. With the story trailer showing us a few of the bosses, all with a background story. As well as our characters abilities in combat.
This souls-like action adventure title will be released this October, on the 13th.
