Games Leaving Game Pass January 2025
Update Jan 21 – The second set of games leaving Xbox Game Pass this month has been revealed. These six games will depart from service on January 31.
- Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem
- Anuchard
- Darkest Dungeon
- Broforce
- Maquette
- Death’s Door
Update Jan 2 – While the games entering Xbox Game Pass this month have not been fully revealed, Microsoft has announced the first set of games set to leave the service on January 15th. In total, there are six games scheduled to depart in the first wave and it includes fan-favorites Exoprimal and Those Who Remain. The latter is one of our predictions, together with Figment which both were added to Game Pass January 2024.
The official announcement isn’t out yet but this list was confirmed with the update of the Leaving Soon section. Based on previous reveals, we should expect the announcement sometime today including the wave 1 games entering the service.
Here is the list of the six games set to depart Xbox Game Pass on January 15, 2024.

- Those Who Remain
- Figment: Journey into the Mind
- Insurgency: Sandstorm
- Escape Academy
- Common’hood
Original publication – January isn’t just opening 2025, it also somehow sets the tone on what subscribers can expect for the rest of the year. So the announcement of games leaving the service weighs as much as the confirmation of those entering Game Pass.
Considering that games, most often than not, stay one year in the service, titles like Hell Let Loose, Resident Evil 2, and Turnip Boy Robs A Bank may find themselves on the list. Blockbuster hits Palworld and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla also entered the service around the same time but seems unlikely to happen. That is especially the case for Palworld which is still under Game Preview (early access).
One prediction that seems to be across the board is Monster Hunter Rise which entered in January 2023. It may be 2 years since then, but considering that Monster Hunter Wilds is coming out in February, this could be the case.

Time will tell if these games are indeed leaving the service next month. But chances are high that some, if not majority, actually do so.
