Ahead of Final Fantasy XIV’s upcoming expansion, Endwalker, developers Square Enix have revealed that it has seen more pre-orders than the Shadowbringers expansion.

Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker is the fourth expansion to the massively popular MMO and is available to pre-order now.
In a recent FFXIV letter, Square Enix revealed that the upcoming expansion has already seen a 160-180% increase in pre-orders compared to Shadowbringers.
That’s a massive increase in sales from one expansion to another, and a large factor in those numbers may be down to the fact that it sees the end of the Zodiark-Hydaelyn arc, which started way back in 2013 with A Realm Reborn.
Endwalker also introduces the male Viera playable character, which saw #bunnyboys trend on Twitter after their reveal.
FF14 is one of the most popular MMOs globally, with more than 22 million active subscribers.
So, it may not come as a surprise that the game sold out on the Square Enix US store, but don’t worry because you can still pre-order it on Steam.
Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker launches on November 23 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
If you’re looking to try the game, you can do so right now for free for 14 days.
