Escape from Tarkov Coming to Steam in 2025
Battlestate Games has confirmed that extraction shooter Escape from Tarkov will launch on Steam in late 2025. The FPS will land on Valve’s platform after the game’s 1.0 release and after Escape from Tarkov: Arena launches on Steam.
In the developer’s latest roadmap livestream, Battlestate Games has revealed the next few months of patches coming to Escape from Tarkov, including its 1.0 release in late 2025 and its launch on Steam.
The developer has also confirmed that the standalone Escape from Tarkov: Arena will release on Steam first, followed by the mainline game.

Escape from Tarkov 2025 Roadmap
Escape from Tarkov will finally reach its 1.0 launch before the end of this year, nine years after its alpha release in 2016. As part of the 2025 roadmap, Battlestate Games will drop monthly patches focusing on feature and performance optimizations while addressing bug fixes and other improvements.
Despite no official 1.0 release date is set, the game will launch sometime after August 2025 but before the end of December. That launch will come before the release of the game on Steam, which will follow the launch of Arena on Valve’s storefront.
What We Know So Far
Battlestate Games has not given an official release date for when EFT will launch into 1.0 and land on Steam. However, we know that the Steam release will come after August and include the new PvE mode. Additionally, EFT: Arena, which is currently available on the Epic Games Store, will also launch on Steam.
The 1.0 release of the game will mark nine years since its initial launch, bringing to a close one of gaming’s longest-running “will it, won’t it” sagas.
