Dynasty Warriors: Origins (DWO) is the acclaimed new chapter of the famous action series by Omega Force. Initially an offshoot series starting with Dynasty Warriors 2, it introduced action gameplay against waves of enemies, creating the Musou subgenre. Origins serves as a soft reboot for the series, offering a new direction more in line with the original titles.

Dynasty Warriors: Origins – The New Update with Photo Mode
Around 3 months after launch, the Koei Tecmo and Omega Force team bring a fantastic new feature to Dynasty Warriors: Origins. With the update on 23rd April, the team introduces two big additions:
- Photo Mode: Available from the World Map menu or by pressing the TouchPad button during battles.
- Lion Dragon Armor: A new outfit for the protagonist. Available in the Change Outfit section.
Photo Mode finally allows players to capture and share their favorite moments. It can be activated during battles, letting players choose the perfect angle, as well as various options like focus and filters.

Dynasty Warriors: The Latest News
Along with the April 2025 update, we also received unspecified bug fixes. There was also a fix related to FSR3 on Steam Deck, which caused distortions. As for Origins news, no new info has been released. Specifically, the milestone of 2 million copies sold has yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, it seems the recent launch of Dynasty Warriors: Abyss, released on 13th February 2025, is doing well. The action roguelike spin-off title with top-down view is preparing for the arrival of new characters on 25th April 2025 with Update 3. Following the surprise inclusion of Sophie, Ryza, and Yumia from the Atelier series, this time, the characters include:
