Dying Light 2: Tower Raid Beta Extended, Play Now

The Techland team continues to work hard to bring new features and updates to their Dying Light 2, their zombie packed open world in first person and a good dose of parkour. The latest addition is a new game mode, the Tower Raid, initially proposed for a limited time as a Beta. But with its success and numerous feedback, the team has decided to extend the Open Beta period, making it available for those who have not yet had a chance to try this new mode.


Dying Light Reloaded – What is the Tower Raid

Initially proposed with the update 1.17 (along with various fixes and rebalances), Tower Raid is a new game mode introduced in Dying Light 2 Reloaded with a Beta period. A new Raid heavily inspired by the VNC Tower mission in the base game and has been modified to offer a different experience each time, with a layout that changes with each run, as well as the ability to apply modifiers to the player and even the enemies.

The goal of this Raid is very simple: the player must explore the tower, alone or in co-op, try to grab the loot scattered across the floors, and reach the top of the tower. But it’s not over, because once we reach the top, we can find an AirDrop that will give us additional loot, including an Exotic weapon. Finally, the first Raid completed of the week will reward the player with additional bonus of Exp and Reputation.


Dying Light 2 – Tower Raid Open Beta Availability and Discounted Game Keys

The new Tower Raid was released for an Open Beta period that was supposed to last only 3 weeks, lasting from 27 June to 18 July 2024. But thanks to the popularity of the mode and the very positive feedback from the community, Techland decided to extend the Beta period. Announcing on Twitter (X) and official platform channels that the Beta is now extended until 1st August 2024 for 2 additional weeks, allowing those who have not yet had a chance to try the new Tower Raid and obtain additional loot.

After the Beta concludes, the Polish team will most likely adjust the Raid based on the received feedback, so they highly encourage those who have tried it to share their opinions to help balance the Tower Raid for its official release.
