The wait is nearly over. South of Midnight, the highly anticipated action-adventure game from Compulsion Games, is set to launch on April 8, 2025 for PC and Xbox Series X|S. Even better? It’s dropping day one on Xbox Game Pass!

South of Midnight Preload and Download Size Details

The preload for South of Midnight is officially live on both PC and Xbox platforms. This means players can start downloading the game in advance to avoid any release-day delays and play the game as soon as it unlocks.

If you’re on PC, make sure you have 61 GB of free space ready. For Xbox users, the game requires a slightly more modest 43 GB. Compared to some of the big title releases we’ve seen in recent months, this is a refreshingly manageable size. So great news for players with limited storage or slower internet connections.

South of Midnight officially launches on April 8, 2025 for PC and Xbox Series X|S, and will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one.

For those who purchased the Premium Edition, you’ll get a head start with early access beginning April 3. Keep in mind that Game Pass members will not get early access, so if you want to jump in five days early, you’ll need to upgrade to Premium.
