What’s New in Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.2?

While the full scope of Update 2.2 will be unveiled during an official live stream, several details about the update have already been confirmed. According to Marcin Momot, CD Projekt Red’s Global Community Director, the update will not include optimizations for the PlayStation 5 Pro, despite speculation. Also, one of the most requested features, New Game Plus, will not be part of this update.

While this may disappoint some fans, Update 2.2 is still expected to deliver a mix of gameplay refinements, quality-of-life improvements, and even new quests and content to further enrich the Night City experience.



To mark the release of Update 2.2, CD Projekt Red has scheduled a live stream for December 10, 2024, at 5 PM CET. This event, streamed on the studio’s official Twitch and YouTube channels, offers players a chance to hear directly from the developers about the new features and improvements coming to the game.

The live stream also serves as a celebration of the game’s fourth anniversary, making it a special occasion for fans and a demonstration of the studio’s ongoing engagement with its community.
