Lords of the Fallen is another Soulslike experience, but with a very distinct identity in that it is RPG-oriented, with 9 playable classes and plenty of scope for customisation on the gameplay front. Titanic bosses challenge you in a dark fantasy universe where you must destroy the demon god Adyr. The art direction is strong, and you can choose to venture into this dark universe in 2-player co-op. There are some difficulty imbalances and a lack of side quests…
Having played Lords of the Fallen, I’m impressed by its blend of action RPG elements and Soulslike mechanics. The ability to use both melee weapons and magic adds depth to combat, and the cooperative campaign option enhances the experience. Exploring the interconnected world of Axiom and Umbral is intriguing, and the respawn mechanic keeps things challenging. Overall, a solid successor to the original with room for improvement.
With wonderful graphics and improved gameplay,The Lords of the Fallen didn’t receive so much flattering reviews. It seems that the amount of flaws overrides the great pontential of the game, but I can’t say that it’s that bad. Level design is exceptional, combats are challenging but easier than other souls-like games. It’s worth trying if you like RPG.
Lords of the Fallen is a dark-fantasy RPG and a souls-like. The game can be played alone or with a partner, who can join at any moment during gameplay. Like most games in this genre, you can choose different classes, weapons and abilities to help you in this challenging journey. Explore two interconnected worlds with a lantern that allows you to travel between them and defeat a wide sort of enemies and bosses.
