For those who don’t know what a MOBA is, it stands for Multiplayer Online Battle Arena, which includes games like League of Legends or […]
Much like the first game, SMITE 2 offers intense PvP matches in third-person where you can choose one of the many mythological gods available to play with, each with unique abilities, strengths and weaknesses. This MOBA is currently in early access but looks like an improvement upon its predecessor in almost every way, shame progress isn’t shared, so anything you’ve unlocked in the first game will have to be acquired again.
The famous MOBA based on mythologies, all of them, is back in a second part, this time made with Unreal 5 engine, and where the matches promise to be even faster and more frenetic with new abilities for the heroes and new maps. Choose your good and team up to 5 players for 5v5 matches full of godly abilities and get your rank up. Players of the first smite game will be at home.
After a very good SMITE, which dominated the 3D MOBA world for a decade, SMITE 2 offers the same recipe, but much improved. From a graphical and physics point of view, thanks to the Unreal Engine 5, but also with an overhaul of some familiar gods. New maps and a new matchmaking system are also on the agenda, as are a number of new gameplay elements.
The wait is almost finished, SMITE 2 is finally coming to a close with a release date set for the 30th July assuming there’s no delay. Despite the release in the coming months the game is already up and running for owners of at least the Founders Edition being able to play the preview version and some minor extra. Smite 2 is the sequel coming 10 years after the original game, released back in 2014 as a MOBA game with the unique characteristic using Gods of various mythologies as heroes.
For those who loved the first game, the release of SMITE 2 is a big deal. Just like the first opus, the sequel is going to be free-to-play with special paid editions. Alongside with improved visuals, it will offer multiple gameplay tweaks, such as refined movements, brand-new map layouts and lot more. Certainly, this third-person MOBA is worth trying out!
