About this game

Trapped on an island with no food, water or shelter, there is only one thing for you to do: survive!

• Explore a persistent open world to find resources and supplies you’ll need to survive.
• Gather building materials and create your very own base, starting from a scrappy wooden shack and fortifying it to become a formidable fortress.
• Harvest different crafting materials to craft weapons, clothing, armor and more. Make sure you have a steady supply of food and water as well.
• Meet other players as you explore. Befriend them and take refuge in the safety of numbers, or kill them to take their loot for yourself.

So much can happen in Rust over the course of a week. Overcoming the elements is no small task in and of itself, and the game’s punishing survival systems make it hard to recommend to everyone. But for those who are willing to put the time in and stick with it, Rust provides both a social sandbox and a deep, functioning crafting system.
