If you can look past these problems, or if updates arrive to patch them up, Another Crab’s Treasure may scratch your Soulslike itch.
There is so much to praise Another Crab’s Treasure for. The story and characters are genuinely delightful, and I love the fact that a studio dared to innovate on a formula as strong and established as soulslike. These innovations are even successful in places, though others need closer examination and refinement.

It is quite a particular 3D platformer. Set in the underwater world, Another Crab’s Treasure lets you play as a crab who picks up different trash left at the bottom of the ocean to fight off his enemies. Despite its cartoonish graphics, the game is quite challenging, thanks to its souls-like combat system. If you like tough battles, go for it, but if you’re looking for a more relaxing gameplay, this is not the one.
Another Crab’s Treasure is a 3rd-person arcade adventure game in which you play as Kril, a hermit crab who sets out to explore the ocean floor in search of his shell. You’ll be using the ocean’s trash as shells (against the backdrop of ecological criticism, of course), and also to make weapons! You’ll learn martial arts from the creatures you encounter. A fun, challenging, yet accessible game.
Another Crab’s Treasure is a peculiar souls-like with some interesting mechanics that takes in underwater regions. You play as Kril, a hermit crab, on a journey in search for his lost shell. Unprotected, many things you find may serve as a temporary shell that provide different perks and will help you against the many enemies in your way. Meet NPCs throughout the game that may teach you new abilities and enjoy this fresh take on the genre.
