Black Myth: Wukong director, and CEO of Game Science Feng Ji, revealed in a recent interview that the technical limitations of the Xbox Series S, particularly its memory limitations is what’s causing the game’s delay on Xbox.

Speaking on Weibo, Feng Ji highlighted the 10GB shared memory on the Xbox Series S as a sticking point, saying he needs more “optimization experience” to overcome it. Despite not launching on Xbox yet, Black Myth: Wukong was one of the best-selling games in 2024, picking up several awards, including Game of the Year at The Steam Awards 2024.
