Bandit Trap Public Beta Launched: Here’s How You Can Join Now
Bandit Trap is a new, chaotic 3v1 online multiplayer game developed by Dutch studio PICOMY. The game is now available in public beta. Here’s everything you need to know.
On March 20, the public beta phase of the game was announced during the Future Games Show Spring Showcase. Along with the announcement, a new trailer was revealed, showing off the game’s fun and quirky gameplay. You’ll see the trailer right here shortly, so no worries.
What is Bandit Trap?
Bandit Trap is a 3 vs 1 multiplayer game. Three bandits go up against one player as the trapper. The trapper defends their home using a variety of creative traps, while the bandits try to steal valuable treasures from the house and avoid getting caught. The levels are fully destructible — you can break through walls, flood rooms, turn them into ice, and more. This opens up new paths or lets you block your opponents.
The trapper has access to a wide range of modular traps — from classic bear traps to high-tech devices like snapping walls or launchers that throw enemies across the room. Bandits can also use platforms, pipes, and shafts in the map to hide or strike unexpectedly. All these mechanics ensure that every match feels different and you can play it over and over without it ever becoming boring or repetitive.
Joining the Public Beta
As mentioned, the public beta for Bandit Trap is now live. To join, simply head over to the Bandit Trap Steam page. There, you can request access to the beta. After a short while, you should receive an email and be able to jump in. Be sure to let your friends know too, as the game is even more fun in a group. Plus, you’ll receive an exclusive reward for joining the beta now — the “Crash Test Outfit.” You’ll get this for both roles, and it will be available at the official game launch. However, there’s no official release date yet.
