7 Days to Die is The Fun Pimps’ zombie-themed open-world survival game. It is certainly one of the most famous Early Access games on Steam, initially released in Alpha on August 16, 2013, through a successful Kickstarter campaign. It was also a success during Steam Greenlight. It was officially launched with version 1.0 on July 25, 2024.

In the game, we find ourselves in a post-apocalyptic world after the events of World War III, in the fictional state of Navezgane, Arizona, following the 2033 events that led to the global population’s contamination by the Septdiurnal Virus. The game is available in an updated version on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

7 Days to Die – Storms Brewing: The Announcement of Version 2.0

With the official launch of 7 Days to Die in version 1.0 on July 25, 2024, The Fun Pimps team is already ready for version 2.0. In fact, following the stable 1.3 version released in February, the Storms Brewing V2.0 update will be next.

The Fun Pimps team reveals the arrival of this major update for April. More precisely, an Experimental version will be available on PC on April 25, 2025. The Stable version will follow in early May on PC and consoles. Expect new points of interest, enemies, balancing, and even potential CrossPlay!

7 Days to Die: Features and New Content Coming with Storms Brewing

The team has already shared some of the major changes we can expect with Storms Brewing. This update will further expand the 7 Days to Die experience and will include:

• New Survival Biome Experience: A new survival experience with varying danger levels in each biome, including consumables for survival and permanent perks to unlock.
• Perks: A new perk balance with 10 perks per attribute and 5 levels per perk. Also, a Mastery Perk for each attribute and various changes.
• Weapons and Enemies: New sets of books for the sledgehammer and the new Desert Spitter enemy. But that’s not all—there will be new game-staged Charged Blue and Infernal Orange Archetypes. Not to mention that zombies will now be able to crawl and pass small obstacles!
• An Expanding World: 50 new Points of Interest to visit, with greater variety and more difficult zones, with zombies now able to crawl from unexpected places!
• QoL: Numerous additions to improve the experience, such as better footstep audio, a unique quest marker for each mission, and the ability to spawn directly at a friend’s location.

As mentioned, the team is experimenting with Crossplay between platforms on Dedicated Servers. Plus, there will be more cosmetic content, including new sets and Twitch 2.0 drops.
