Xbox Game Pass June 2024 Joining Titles
Update June 25 – EA Sports FC 24 is officially entering Game Pass today. It is the third game to do so in the second wave of games this month. It is added via EA Play, meaning subscribers of Ultimate and PC Game Pass only will have access to it. It is joined by 5 other games to be added to GP for all tiers. Here is a quick rundown of Game Pass free games lineup for June 2024 Wave 2:
- My Time at Sandrock (Cloud/Consoles/PC) – June 19
- Kerplerth (PC) – June 20
- EA Sports FC 24 (EA Play/Xbox Game Pass Ultimate) – June 25
- SteamWorld Dig (Cloud/Consoles) – June 26
- SteamWorld Dig 2 (Consoles/PC) – June 26
- Robin Hood: Sherwood Builders (Cloud/PC/Xbox Series X) – June 27
Original publication – Although we started the month with three games known to enter the service (having previously been confirmed a couple of months back), the official wave 1 announcement still wasn’t seen nor heard for the first full week of the month. But now the time has come! Xbox Game Pass joining titles for June 2024 have finally been revealed.
There are a total of 8 games on the list so far, of which 2 are day-one launches. Rolling Hill was the first to join on release day, and the second will be Still Wakes Deep on the 18th.
We also have a returning title, Octopath Traveler, and it brings with it its sequel. Octopath Traveler 2 finally comes to Xbox and is one of the day-one additions to Game Pass this month. The timing couldn’t come better as it is launched alongside its newest update.
While the aforementioned titles are good games, most subscribers are excited for The Callisto Protocol which will join the service on June 13. And while we’re on the topic of excitement, there’s a rumor that a batch of Blizzard games will be announced (and added) to Game Pass on June 9 during the Xbox Games Showcase 2024. One more day to go and we’ll see if this dream come true!

Firework (PC)
Firework is a popular Chinese horror puzzle game which makes use of Chinese folklore and mythology to create a unique and unsettling experience. The game follows Lin Lixun, a rookie police officer who gets drawn into a reopened investigation of a family massacre in a remote mountain village. The fire at a funeral ignites suspicion and Lixun finds himself not only investigating the human aspects of the crime but also supernatural occurrences.
Firework entered Game Pass on June 4, 2024.
Rolling Hills: Make Sushi, Make Friends (PC, Console, Cloud)
Rolling Hills: Make Sushi, Make Friends is a life simulation game with restaurant management elements. You will play as a sushi chef robot running your own sushi restaurant in a charming village. As you progress, you will master the art of sushi making and will be unlocking new recipes and upgrading ingredients. But the game is not just sushi making as there is a social side too. You can befriend the villagers and help them through quests which adds another layer to the gameplay.
Rolling Hills also enters service on June 4, 2024 marking the first day-one launch on Game Pass this month.
Octopath Traveler (PC, Console, Cloud)
Octopath Traveler is a RPG set in the world of Orsterra and features eight different protagonists, each with their own distinct story, motivations, and skills. You will start off your journey with one character, and the others can be recruited along the way. The game utilizes a turn-based combat system where you strategically unleash your characters’ abilities to exploit enemy weaknesses and break their defenses. It’s a deep and engaging system that offers plenty of tactical options.
The game returned to service on June 6, 2024. Its shadow drop ushered in the announcement for the wave 1 list.
Octopath Traveler 2 (PC, Console, Cloud)
Octopath Traveler 2 is the sequel to the aforementioned game offering a similar role-playing experience but with a fresh cast of characters and set in a different region of the same world, Orsterra. The core gameplay is retained but also introduces new features like Latent Powers which grant your characters additional abilities once unlocked. There will also be day/night cycles impacting towns and enemies which then adds another layer of strategy.
Octopath Traveler 2 was released on Xbox and was added to Game Pass on June 6, making it another day-one launch this month.
Depersonalization (PC)
Depersonalization is a tabletop RPG focused on investigation, dice rolling, character creation, and narrative choices set with a dark and eerie atmosphere. It’s a collaborative storytelling experience where you will create characters and navigate a narrative which is then driven by a game master. The game features a branching story with multiple endings that will depend on your choices.
Play Depersonalization for free on Game Pass PC starting June 12, 2024.
Isonzo (PC, Console, Cloud)
Isonzo is a first-person shooter video game which focuses on the unique challenges of mountain warfare with battles taking place on scenic landscapes and peaks of Northern Italy. You can choose from six classes, each with different weapons, equipment, and perks. Teamwork is essential for success as you will need to work together to capture objectives, build fortifications, and overcome the deadly realities of trench warfare.
Isonzo is now accessible for Game Pass subscribers for free on June 13, 2024.
The Callisto Protocol (PC, Console, Cloud)
The Callisto Protocol is a 2022 survival horror game set on Jupiter’s moon Callisto in the year 2320. You play as Jacob Lee, an unfortunate cargo pilot who crash lands and finds himself incarcerated in a high-security facility called Black Iron Prison. The game mixes close-quarters combat with ranged shooting. You’ll need to get creative and strategic to survive, using different weapons and your surroundings to dismember and dispatch the mutated enemies.
The Callisto Protocol is also entering Game Pass on June 13, 2024.
Still Wakes The Deep (PC, Console, Cloud)
Still Wakes the Deep is a first-person narrative horror game where you play as Caz McLeary, a Glaswegian electrician trapped on a North Sea oil rig in 1975. A catastrophic event has left the rig damaged with all communication cut off. But not only are you battling the harsh weather conditions, but there’s also a mysterious and terrifying creature lurking in the rig, hunting you down. You’ll be exploring the detailed and increasingly disturbing environment of the oil rig, solving puzzles, and trying to survive against the unseen threat.
Still Wakes The Deep is launching day-one on Game Pass. The game releases on June 18 for all platforms.
My Time at Sandrock (PC, Console, Cloud)
My Time at Sandrock is a farm life simulation game and is the sequel to the popular game My Time at Portia. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world, 300 years after a calamity that destroyed most modern technology. Players take on the role of a builder who has been hired to revitalize the struggling desert town of Sandrock. It combines elements of farming, crafting, exploration, and combat.
My Time at Sandrock joined Game Pass on June 19, 2024.
Kerplerth (PC)
Kerplerth is a 2D sandbox RPG where you are awaken on a hostile alien planet. You must gather resources, craft tools and weapons, build shelters, and tame wild animals to stay alive. The world is filled with strange creatures and environmental hazards, so you’ll need to be on your guard. The world of Keplerth is open-ended and procedurally generated so each playthrough offers a unique experience with new landscapes, dungeons, and secrets to uncover.
This highly rated game entered Game Pass on June 20, 2024.
EA Sports FC 24 (PC, Ultimate via EA Play)
EA Sports FC 24 is a football simulation game and the first of the series which succeeded the FIFA video game series. It features extensive licensing with over 19,000 players, 700 teams, and 30 leagues. The game boasts improved player movement and behavior through HyperMotionV technology and utilizes the Frostbite Engine for enhanced visuals.
Experience its popular modes like Career, Ultimate Team, and Kick-off, alongside the UEFA Euro 2024 update coming in summer 2024 for free with EA Play. Members of Xbox Game PAss Ultimate and PC Game Pass get to enjoy this as well.
SteamWorld Dig (Console, Cloud)
SteamWorld Dig is a 2D platformer with a twist: you play as a steam-powered robot miner. You explore a vast underground mine, digging for resources, uncovering secrets, and upgrading your tools. The game combines action, exploration, and puzzle-solving with a unique steampunk aesthetic.
SteamWorld Dig joins Game Pass on June 26, 2024.
SteamWorld Dig 2 (PC, Console)
SteamWorld Dig 2 builds upon its predecessor as a side-scrolling Metroidvania where you control a robot excavator. You explore a sprawling, interconnected world, unearthing treasures and secrets. With your trusty pickaxe and gadgets, you dig your way down, overcoming environmental puzzles and battling quirky enemies. As you progress, you’ll acquire upgrades to reach new areas and delve deeper into the mysterious underground.
SteamWorld Dig 2, like its predecessor, enters Game Pass on June 26, 2024 as well.
Robin Hood: Sherwood Builders (PC, Series X|S, Cloud)
Robin Hood: Sherwood Builders is an action RPG with a base-building twist. You take the reins as the legendary Robin Hood, fighting corrupt guards, crafting gear, and building a haven for the downtrodden in Sherwood Forest. Explore an open world, steal from the rich to help the poor, and become a thorn in the side of the Sheriff of Nottingham.
Robin Hood: Sherwood Builders is the last confirmed game this month to join Game Pass. It is scheduled to do so on June 27, 2024.
