WWE 2K22 Day-One Patch, DLC, Showcase Matches: Launch Day Details You’ll Need

WWE 2K22 has launched on early access as of March 8 for players who purchased the Digital Deluxe and nWo 4-Life Editions. Here we have all the other details you’ll need as we welcome its global release.

WWE 2K22 will be launching to all players worldwide on March 11, 2022, and we’ve got the details on its Day-One Patch, DLC characters, and Rey Mysterio Showcase Matches to get you ready for the ring.

The Day-One Patch rolled out in time for the game’s early access release on March 8th, and it contains fixes related to crashes, matches, and more In addition to this, details on its first DLC characters were also revealed, giving us a glimpse on the additional characters you can play as come launch day, and even post-launch. And as 2K Showcase Mode returns, you’ll be able to relive the career of cover Superstar Rey Mysterio and unlock cool stuff while you’re at it.

WWE 2K22 Day-One Patch Notes

• Interacting with a ladder bridge can cause a crash as it is broken and disappears.
• A player may lose functionality if a Superstar is standing on the apron when a run in is triggered.
• Two issues may occur at Charlotte Flair’s Championship Entrance, and both can trigger when performing a run in. She must be in the ring to trigger these.
  • The game may crash if Charlotte Flair (or the referee) is attacked as her robe is being removed during her entrance.
  • Certain strikes from behind may cause a deformation issue with Charlotte Flair. This will recover if Charlotte follows you out the ring when you exit.
• Game may crash when loading a user-created custom WWE Championship in the Ladder or TLC match.
• Match may not end after eliminating the final Superstar in a Money in the Bank championship.
• Game may crash when multiple Superstars gather in a corner of the cage in a Hell in a Cell match.

DLC Characters Revealed

The Playstation and Xbox stores have revealed the promotional poster for the WWE 2K22 Season Pass, and it features the Superstars that will make up the roster of the first ones that will be added to the game.

The DLC is called Superstars and Legends, and includes the following as shown in the poster:

• Rob Van Dam
• Stacy Keibler
• Yokozuna
• Cactus Jack
• Mr. T
• LA Knight

The names of the Season Pass DLC Packs were also revealed, and they are called: Banzai, Clowning Around, Most Wanted, Stand Back, and Whole Dam Packs. There’s a possibility that the Superstars in the poster will be spread out in these DLC packs, such as Yokozuna for the Banzai Pack, and Rob Van Dam for the Whole Dam Pack.

Rey Mysterio 2K Showcase

WWE 2K22 cover Superstar Rey Mysterio is featured in the game’s 2K Showcase Mode. This mode allows players to relive Rey Mysterio’s career and the moments behind his iconic matches.

Progressing through the Showcase Mode will allow players to unlock new characters, arenas, attires, and many others.

The Royal Rumble 2006 match is not included in the list for some reason, despite it being included in promotional materials. Also, the Triple Threat for the World Championship at WrestleMania 22 (which is the biggest match of his career) has not been included because Kurt Angle is not included in the WWE 2K22 roster.
