World of Warcraft players are about to enter another dark period as the game launches its last major patch before the next expansion launches. The Battle for Azeroth pre-patch, AKA patch 8.0, will launch on July 17th and if you’re not ready you’ll probably end up feeling lost amidst the changes, especially if its your first time experiencing a pre-expansion patch.

No need to worry though as Blizzard has released a pre-patch survival guide video, detailing numerous changes players should expect once the update drops. You can check out the full video below:
While bridging the gap between Legion and Battle for Azeroth, the 8.0 update will also bring a new War Mode, PvP talents, and more unrevealed content. Blizzard describes War Mode by saying it “”tears down boundaries and server rule-set distinctions, allowing players on any realm to decide when they want to jump into a world PvP experience full of like-minded players in the ongoing battle between Horde and Alliance.”
Regardless of the new content, expect to be in a state of confusion for the most part when the patch arrives and each time Blizzard tries and balance out the re-scaled stats. You’ll also need to get used to the fact that your artifact no longer work, although some specific traits have been incorporated to certain classes and specs.
The full patch notes have not been released yet, but expect it to come out close to launch day.
