The Witcher 3 was the first open-world game in the series, but CD Projekt Red has confirmed that The Witcher Remake is a “modern reimagining” and will be open-world.
CDPR’s announcement came in their financial reports for Q3, 2022, in which it calls The Witcher Remake a “story-driven, single-player open-world RPG – a modern reimagining of 2007’s The Witcher.”
The latest Witcher news comes as CD Projekt Red looks to release The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s next-gen upgrade on December 14.
There is no release date for The Witcher Remake, but we know it’s being remade in Unreal Engine 5.
