THE WITCHER 3: WILD HUNT – FREE NEXT-GEN UPGRADE COMING

During a Twitch stream, CD Projekt Red outlined some of the updates coming to The Witcher 3 with its free next-gen upgrade.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is getting a next-gen upgrade for free, which adds ray tracing, new customization options, quests, and more to the game.

As part of the update, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is getting upgraded visuals on PC, with console players able to choose between 30fps with ray tracing or 60fps without ray tracing.

Players are also getting cross-progression, with it now being possible to share your save between PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Fans of the Netflix series will be glad to know that The Witcher 3 is getting a new quest, which will reward players with armor and outfits based on Henry Cavil’s Witcher.

Various quality-of-life improvements include changes to the mini-map, event activation, magic usage, and a new cinematic mode that moves the camera closer behind Geralt.

The Witcher 3 next-gen upgrade is free and will release on December 14, 2022.
