The Outer Worlds 2 is the eagerly awaited new chapter in the sci-fi RPG series by Obsidian Entertainment. A sequel announced at The Game Awards 2024, 5 years after the launch of the first game. All with a graphical leap thanks to Unreal Engine 5.
This time, taking us to a new solar system: Arcadia. The announcement came with a gameplay trailer that promises a sequel with even more content and improvements. The Outer Worlds 2: What we know from the latest news
From IGN’s interview with the design director, we’ve learned some very interesting news. They discussed a completely renewed approach to the RPG mechanics. Players will have the freedom to create unique builds. With a Skill System full of specializations: from stealth options to full-on combat, dialogue, or hybrid solutions.
As for Perks, there will be over 90, each requiring various Skills to unlock. There’s also the system of Positive and Negative Traits, inspired by Fallout New Vegas, which expands the Flaws system. This not only offers some penalties but also ideal bonuses to integrate into builds. In short, Obsidian is giving players a lot of freedom to experiment and create the perfect builds in The Outer Worlds 2!
