Spotted by Insider Gaming, Activision Blizzard is preparing to launch the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3 for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. A 15+ rating from the Australian Classification Board for both games popped up on April 3, suggesting the releases are imminent.
The original MW2 launched on November 10, 2009, for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. MW3 launched in 2011 for PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and the Nintendo Wii.
What Players Can Expect on Next-Gen
The only bit of information we have is that the games are coming from Activision Blizzard and they have a production date of 2025. We expect it to be the 2009 MW2 and 2011 MW3 games, but as of yet there is no clarification of whether they are remasters or reboots.
