Tails of Iron II: Whiskers of Winter is the new action RPG sidescroller adventure from Odd Bug Studio. You’ll play as the brave mouse Arlo, heir to the Warden of the Wastes. Embark on a perilous journey to the North to finally defeat the Dark Wings once and for all.

This new adventure revisits the enchanting yet brutal realm of Tails of Iron. Picking up right after the events of the first game featuring King Redgi. Initially scheduled for February 2025, it has now been confirmed to release sooner.

The news broke on 5 December 2024, when Odd Bug Studio and publisher United Label announced the updated release date. After being delayed from summer 2024 to February, Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter is now launching on 28 January 2025, for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Fantastic news for fans who can finally dive into the new adventure. Explore six new biomes and face off against the Dark Wing Bats. Enjoy upgraded gameplay featuring dangerous new enemies, crafting and base-building systems, and a day-night cycle.

But that’s not all! Alongside the release date update, the team has also launched pre-orders for consoles. The Deluxe Edition includes the following content:

• Augur of the Draugr Pack – This pack adds three armor sets, three shields, and three axes.
• Hair to the Throne Pack – This pack adds six new beard and hairstyles for Arlo.

Pre-orders are currently only available for consoles, offering a 20% discount for early reservations. There’s no news yet on Steam pre-orders, but we likely won’t have to wait long to reserve Tails of Iron II on PC. This is also a great chance to grab the first chapter at the best price!
