Syberia: The World Before – Kate Tries to Unfold Dana’s Identity in Launch Trailer

Microids unveiled the launch trailer for Syberia: The World Before, featuring Kate Walker’s new adventure as she tries to unfold the identity of Dana Roze.

Syberia: The World Before is set in Benoît Sokal’s creative universe, and puts you in the shoes of two women who are from two different timelines. Kate Walker, whom we see most in the launch trailer, is from the year 2004 and is from New York. She has been imprisoned inside a salt mine, but survives and now is out to find out more about her identity.

In the trailer, we also see Dana Roze from 1937 who dreams of becoming a pianist, but it is slowly being overshadowed by a fascist threat. We also see the people around Dana during her time, including the Alpinist Leon Kobatis.

As the story progresses over two different timelines, players will be able to play as Kate or Dana. This allows players to experience each of their stories as they unfold.

The trailer also featured some of the puzzles that players will be solving, including some of the locations they will be visiting as well as the different characters they will be meeting.
