Starfield Now Runs at a Smooth 60 FPS
Starfield will finally run at 60 FPS on consoles from next week. Find out when you can download the game’s free update and where to buy your Starfield key cheaper in this article.
Starfield performance update
Bethesda has announced the largest Starfield update since its launch with a massive performance patch that will introduce new features, customization options, and gameplay options.
The update, revealed on Bethesda blog post, announces the upcoming updated surface maps, new gameplay options that allow players to increase vendor credits, carry capacity, a new difficulty setting, and new interior customization tools to make your ship stand out while exploring the galaxy.
The most exciting and significant update, though, is the Xbox Series X display settings which will now allow players to select 30, 40, 60, or uncapped frame rates, with Bethesda recommending a VRR display to avoid screen tearing at 60 FPS.
Players should also select Performance mode to ensure your frame rate doesn’t drop when the load becomes heavy. If you’re more of a detail person, selecting Visuals mode will maintain full detail when during special effects, lighting, and crowds with a hit to frame rate that may drop below 60.
You can download the Starfield update on May 15 when the patch goes live on PC and Xbox.
