Space Marine 2 is shaping up to dominate 2025 as developer Saber Interactive teases major plans, including new PvE content, custom PvP lobbies, more customization, and a new Champion. As part of Saber Interactive’s commitment to Space Marine 2, the next Champion will be the Salamander Sniper.
Saber has revealed in the developer’s latest blog post that they considered a Raven’s Guard Sniper but teased different plans for them. The announcement of new content and a champion has excited fans at the beginning of 2025.

What’s New for Space Marine 2 in 2025?
Developer Saber Interactive has unveiled its big plans for Space Marine 2 in 2025. Still coming in Patch 7.0 are custom PvP lobbies, where players can change modifiers and the number of players. As for PvE, Horde Mode will come later in the year with Prestige Rank added in Season 3, allowing classes to be upgraded further.
And that’s not all. Saber promises more Operations, enemies, and a new difficulty level with all-new rewards. The Battle Barge is to be expanded with the Datavault, letting players explore more of Space Marine 2’s lore, with more iconic 40K Chapters added throughout the year for additional customization options.
Who Is the New Champion?
At some point this year, the Salamander Champion will come to Space Marine 2, and will be available in PvP and PvE. Saber is coming particular details quiet, but the Champion will be a Sniper.
The developer also teased plans for Tactical and a Raven Guard Champion. However, at the moment all we have is a sneak peak of the Salamander Sniper. Saber is yet to reveal a date when we can see him in Space Marine 2.
Why 2025 Is Set to Be a Big Year for Space Marine 2
2025 promises to be a massive year for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, with Saber revealing 5 million players have now enjoyed the third-person shooter.
