SONY DELAYS SIX UPCOMING GAMES
During an earnings call last week, Sony CFO Hiroki Totoki announced only six of their twelve upcoming live service games are expected to release by the end of the 2025 Fiscal Year.

The delays come after PlayStation Studios’ Hermen Hulst spoke of how Bungie did a review of their upcoming live service games portfolio.
That review means Sony will now delay half its upcoming games to hopefully deliver better products.
With Bungie’s help, Hulst says Sony no longer sees a game’s release as the end goal but the beginning.
With that cultural shift, Sony hopes players will enjoy PlayStation live service games much longer.
We don’t know which games will see a delay. But those in the works include a spinoff from The Last of US Part 2 and Bungie’s Marathon, a multiplayer extraction shooter.
