News arrives from the Tower Studios team regarding the console release of Sociable Soccer 24, a football title already available on Steam and Apple Arcade since late 2023. Initially slated for a console release within a few months, it faced a delay that has now been confirmed to be nearly over.

When is Sociable Soccer 24 coming out on consoles

The news comes directly from the Tower Studios team, announcing a collaboration with Inter Milan’s Italian footballer Stefano Sensi. This collaboration features Sensi as the cover star of the game, accompanied by a video showcasing the game’s arcade-style gameplay. The release date for the Nintendo Switch version is confirmed in the description as June 7th 2024. However, a bit more waiting is needed for the Xbox and PlayStation versions.

The choice of Stefano Sensi is certainly a well-thought-out one, given that the surname of the famous footballer coincides exactly with the abbreviation by which Sensible Soccer (Sensi) is known, the series of which Sociable Soccer is the spiritual successor. Both in terms of gameplay and the general approach of the game. A series with many fans who still organize meet-up tournaments with the classic Sensible Soccer games.

What is Sociable Soccer 24

Sociable Soccer 24 is a title developed and published by Tower Studios, released on Steam and Apple Arcade on 16th November 2023 after a period of Early Access, and announced for console release, with the Switch version arriving shortly as mentioned on 7th June 2024. Sociable Soccer 24 is the spiritual successor to Sensible Soccer, a famous arcade game series that originated in the ’90s on Atari ST and Amiga. A series that remained in the hearts of many and was revived by the same game designer Jon Hare with Sociable Soccer 24.

Sociable Soccer 24 offers a purely arcade experience of the football world, thanks to its frantic but intuitive gameplay. Additionally, with the FIFPRO license, the game features licenses for over 13,000 professional footballers and over 1,000 teams. Each player has their own game attributes and statistics. The “Sociable” aspect allows players to join fan clans of teams and compete against fans of other teams in true clan wars! With the Switch version arriving, it becomes an excellent companion just in time for the upcoming UEFA EURO 2024.
