Sky Children of the Light is a peaceful, award-winning social adventure game where you explore a beautifully animated kingdom across seven realms and create enriching memories with other players.

Soar through the skies, traverse lush meadows, and explore hidden temples as you uncover the mysteries of the kingdom. Then team up with friends to solve puzzles, complete quests, and share heartwarming moments.

There is no combat or competition in Sky. The focus is on cooperation, exploration, and creating a sense of wonder. Since its initial launch for mobile in 2019, it has steadily grown its community and has now exploded to one of the best and most wholesome communities in the gaming world.

Sky Children of the Light Release Date

Sky Children of the Light is slowly (and steadily) conquering all gaming platforms. First came on mobile, then Switch, then Playstation, and now, it will officially land on Steam as Early Access.

This EA period is actually a special one as the game is already complete. Yes, the full version of the game is what you’ll play on PC on April 10. The Early Access period is just to ensure that the full suite of Steam features are implemented correctly.




To celebrate Sky Children of the Light PC launch, a Companion Cube pop will be permanently available in the Aviary event shop for Steam and Steam Deck players. It can be unlocked for 50 Candles.

Then on top of that, the previously Playstation exclusive Journey Pack, will also be available on all platforms starting launch day. This, you may access in the game menu shop and will remain there even after the PC launch events. This pack includes the iconic cape and hood outfit worn by the Journey traveler. It also comes with a mask that gives your avatar a unique Journey-inspired voice when you wear it.

Also starting April 10 00:00 PDT until a week after, every Heart gift or partial Heart gift sent to friends and moth friends, will automatically be DOUBLED. This will apply to those sent while Double Hearts are active.

Then in the week of the 10th, there will be four locations for Treasure Candles in each level from Daylight Prairie to Vault of Knowledge everyday. And last but not the least (definitely) check out the Dancing Performer as it visits on the weekend of April 25.

And now the question on fans’ minds, is it coming to Xbox next year? Considering that the platform releases have more or less a year gap, it does make sense to see Sky on Xbox next year. With the game’s cross-platform support, EVERYONE can really play together then.

Sky Children 5th Year Celebration

The year 2024 isn’t just about Sky Children of the Light PC release but it also marks the game’s 5th birthday. Being that it is a milestone, the Sky family will be celebrating it with the ever growing community, both in-game and in-person.

Yep, both! And it will happen simultaneously under one event, SkyFest.

While the in-game celebration details have not been announced yet, one of the two in-person events has. Sky Assemblies have been running since 2022 in different parts of the world but with the game’s birthday bash, two large ones will be hosted: one in China and the other in Tokyo Japan.



The one in Japan will be held on July 13-14, 2024 in Sankaku Hiroba, Shinjuku. This event will be a ticketed one and those who will buy the ticket will not only get to experience the biggest birthday Sky Assembly to date, but also receive special goodies. The items included in this are yet to be revealed.
