Bloober Team’s highly anticipated remake of Silent Hill 2 is set to be released on October 8, 2024, and fans are eagerly awaiting their chance to experience the psychological horror game like never before. Unfortunately, not all gamers can play the game on the 8th.

Silent Hill 2 Remake is to launch on PC and Playstation 5 only, leaving a massive Xbox community out of the fun. But with the recent Immersion trailer, more light as to its Xbox release was revealed.



While the Playstation console exclusivity was obvious from the start, the entirety of it was left out, until now. According to the latest trailer, Playstation has an exclusive contract for the game for one year. The exclusivity ends on October 8, 2025 which will allow other formats to be released.

Microsoft has not announced its release date for the Remake but considering past similar cases, it would do so as soon as the contract ends. Hopefully, the game also finds its way to Switch and Steam Deck by then.

Will Silent Hill 2 Remake be on Playstation Plus?

As of writing, Sony has not released any information of the game being added to any of the Playstation Plus tiers. But there are a lot of previous Playstation exclusives that eventually found its way to the subscription.

It may not be Silent Hill 2 Remake but a few months ago, there was a big rumor that Silent Hill classic games may be coming to PS Plus Premium this year. There is still three months left for the year so cross fingers!
