Stellar Blade is the action-adventure game from Shift Up that launched on PS5 on 26 April 2024. A highly ambitious project by the Korean team, primarily known for mobile games with a simpler approach. Combining previously explored dynamics (like in Goddess of Victory: Nikke) with action-packed game inspired by various series, particularly NieR:Automata. With which it shares many narrative and thematic elements.

The result? A resounding success, selling over 1 million copies within just two months of release. A game as fun as it is captivating, despite the unfair criticism the team received for certain choices, particularly the design of the protagonist, Eve. A success that led to the announcement of the PC version, set to release by 2025.

Stellar Blade: Shift Up Gifts PS5 Pros and Bonuses to Their Team

2024 turned out to be an impressive year for the Shift Up team, with Stellar Blade recognized as one of the standout games on PS5 for the year. They wrapped up 2024 with the surprise release of the NieR:Automata crossover DLC and the highly anticipated Photo Mode.

But the celebrations at Shift Up aren’t over yet. To honor Stellar Blade’s success, the team received bonuses worth $3,400 and brand-new PS5 Pros for each member. As shown on Twitter (X) on 6th January 2025, an impressive stack of PS5 Pro was revealed alongside a delighted team queuing for their gifts.
